Be aware this is not a "flop house". Our sober living group home is to help recovering persons stay sober, clean and healthy while learning to contribute to society via traditional 12-step recovery paradigms and to impress our creed on our house guests. Further, this may involve learning to: care for nutritional needs, build social skills, be gainfully employed, engage in school or in community service - even if you are “classified” as disabled.
Not quite a flop house but almost. I stayed for awhile and noticed inconsistencies in policy and the lack of the most basic service I was paying for, a sober home. Every time someone relapsed their was some new policy on how to keep them in house. First it was snow, then freezing temperatures, on to rain, and finally with the last clause of not putting someone out at night. Ultimately it was a flop house because if you paid your rent or, in most cases, your family did you were allowed to stay. With a live in woman in a men's house to create a "family" setting is b.s. They slept past noon everyday I was there and extremely lazy. Couldn't even walk their own dog. I say steer clear.
