Brookhaven Retreat Inpatient Rehab Programs with a primary focus on . Specializing inFacility Notes
Located near the Great Smoky Mountains and just outside Knoxville, Tennessee, Brookhaven Retreat was created by women and designed to help them overcome addiction and emotional challenges. We specialize exclusively in building women up and restoring their inner strength so that mental health and/or addiction no longer control their lives. We deliver treatment that is unlike that of any other facility. There are many treatment programs and facilities, but none celebrate as many successful outcomes as we do. Brookhaven Retreat is a private dual-diagnosis treatment center for women featuring extensive on-site care by our highly trained, all-female multidisciplinary team of licensed therapists, psychiatrist, nurse practitioners, and nurses. A rare and highly beneficial aspect of Brookhaven Retreat is that we are privately owned and operated. Our founder and owner, Jacqueline Dawes, is on site and not only leads the organization but also directs the PONCHO? program. We are nationally accredited by the Joint Commission, holding the coveted National Quality Approval seal. Unlike any other treatment center, the Brookhaven Retreat program is fully integrated, yet still has special tracks for the primary needs of each individual client. We are able to achieve this by having unique licenses in four separate areas of specialty: 1.Mental Health Crisis Stabilization 2.Mental Health Residential Treatment 3.Alcohol and Drug Abuse Residential Detoxification Treatment 4.Alcohol and Drug Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Drawing on the serenity of our beautiful surroundings, Brookhaven Retreat offers barrier-free, modern, holistic care with compassion and respect. Our philosophy challenges the traditional treatments and stigmas associated with substance abuse and emotional trauma by building personalized, tailored programs for each woman. Brookhaven Retreat is a place for women that offers no judgment or shame and instead nurtures the mind, spirit, and body back to health. Brookhaven Retreat is a place where women begin the journey of re-creating the identity of someone they can love and develop the living skills that allow them to take ownership of their lives. Our family therapy and aftercare can be conducted through a conferencing system for our clients and families that live out of state. We have clients that come to Brookhaven Retreat from across the United States and Canada, and this communication works well for their loved ones at home. With a 6:1 staff to client ratio, our clients experience a variety of clinical and therapeutic components to help in the recovery and rebuilding process, including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Systemic Therapy Equine-Assisted Therapy Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) Holographic Reprocessing Reality Therapy Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) Person-Centered Therapy Artistic Expression Experiential Therapy Spiritual Counseling Holistic Bodywork After completing the first phase of the treatment program, women are eligible to apply and interview for the PONCHO program. This reprocessing life-realignment program is the only one of its kind. It was designed specifically for women to create their own safety net of life skills and address the many aspects of life that are affected by substance abuse, addictive behaviors, or emotional challenges to mental health. Having this set of life skills dramatically reduces the risk of “free-fall” relapse so common after other treatment programs. Throughout our history we’ve found that our approach has helped hundreds of women struggling with depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, panic attacks and anxiety, maintaining recovery, emotional breakage, trauma, abandonment, physical and emotional abuse, mental health issues, addictions, and co-occurring disorders, all with outstanding sustained results.
Brookhaven Retreat was a major blessing and saved my life! The staff is amazing and so caring to each individual, and their main concern is on each women's recovery. I wouldn't change anything about my experience and would recommend Brookhaven Retreat to anyone! Jacqueline Dawes is an inspiration to myself and women everywhere. She is my hero and I am forever grateful that she came into my life!!!!
