High Point Treatment Center Inc Facility Notes
You know something...I understand how people can be rude and it may be discouraging...but I am an addict in recovery so Man Up!!! I have compassion for addicts because I am one but guess what....quit shooting dope drinking and or smoking crack and you don't have to worry about bitching about how much a place sux....how about when your family's on "lockdown" dealing with your shit ? I've been to some horrible detoxes and I've been to some good ones but IT'S DETOX!!!!! You wanna get clean? Then stop making exuses and do watcha gotta do...I'm a heroin addict and an intravenous coke user and a smoker....so wherever I ended up is exactly where my addiction took me....heroin addicts are the biggest friggin babies/whiners I've ever dealt with...you think detox sux? It does o.k. I'm not arguing that but YOU put yourself there...be thankful there is even a place to go..

This is a lock down because it is court ordered that these men be in this place. It is also lock down because they are not all here voluntarily. I currently have son here, and I have spoken to a number of very nice people. I'm not saying they are "great", but we can't afford a private detox clinic, and he was brought here by the courts. He's safe, and hopefully there will be a good discharge plan.

10 Meadowbrook Rd in Brockton, mass SUCKS! They treat the men there like prisoners I don't know how the Plymouth, Ma facility is, but with the exception of one woman in Brockton, mass named Barbara, she was the only one who was professional, cordial and did take a message from me for my loved one who was in the new inpatient men's step down program which just opened up in November of (08) I would NOT recommend this place well at least the one in Brockton, Ma they are rude, and don't care to leave messages for your loved one. One 10 minute outgoing call a day, NO VISITATION, and you have to mail/ship clothes, prisoners get more leeway, and provision. This place is a total lockdown, how is that beneficial for their emotional well being to be cut off from their loved ones and familiar surroundings.
