I attended Kitsap Recovery Center after many years of battling addiction.
I have been through various treatment centers in addition to behavior modification.
For me, being educated on the how and why of the addiction was necessary.
Kitsap Recovery Center covered all the informational aspects of the disease and how it effects the person physically, psychologically and socially.
Sometimes, understanding why us addicts behave the way we do and make bad decisions/choices that we would not make as sober human beings is ultimately important for healthy recovery.
I highly recommend this facility to those wanting help and/or those needing help.

I actually had a few years clean and sober until I put work and family before my sobriety. I just went as support to visit a patient and checked the place out last Sunday. I landed up seeing people that had had some sobriety before and they were patients again. This has given me the courage to do orientation on Monday and beg to get into in-patient as soon as possible. I don't want to die out here. Screw all the ego stuff. I want to live and be free of shame and getting the next beer or fix or whatever. It never mattered what it was. I know it won't be easy but I must work through my core issues or I will never be healthy. So, if anyone is reading this and happens to to work at KRC, I need a detox bed as soon as I can get one!!!!!
